Be thorough.
When you first enter a room or open a closet door, drawer, or cabinet, search everything thoroughly for clues or keys. For example, look on top of shelves and bookcases, inside every drawer that will open, inside books, under tables, inside vases, inside clothes pockets, etc. Clues could be anywhere. Just remember to not break anything or try to move things that clearly aren’t meant to be moved.
