What does it take to be a game host?
Aside from a great personality, a can-do attitude, and a welcoming smile, the most important skill a great host can have, is the ability to communicate clearly with guests. You do not have a lot of time to get your hints across and they must be concise as well as easily understood. The host is usually the guest’s first and only point of contact, so positivity and enthusiasm are essential. Some minor fix-it skills are a definite asset as well. Little things break and if you know how to fix them, you’ll be able to make that small repair and get back to focusing on the guests.
